the nether
For my MFA Thesis I designed an immersive Interactive experience based on "The Nether" by Jennifer Haley. The audience moves through a physical representation of the virtual world of the play that is repeatedly interrupted by tears in the fabric of this virtual reality. Nothing is as it seems in The Nether.
To illustrate the audience experience I created a comic book showing the design and story progression

Rezz stadium tour
As a touring concert stage design for the EDM artist Rezz I created a surreal space that envelops the audience in visual representations of the cascading sound waves coming from the artist in the center. The focal point of the design is the 45' icososphere with the artist raised in the center. The sphere, made of individual triangular LED panels, explodes out towards the audience shattering the world the crowd has already become accustomed too.

ardbeg touring distillery
To spotlight the rollout of Ardbeg's latest scotch release An OA I designed a traveling immersive distillery tour built from four 40' shipping containers. Visitors would be offered a free scotch sample but upon entering the shipping container will find only empty boxes. When they move to the back they are transported to the coast of Islay Scotland in a 360° immersive projection display. Moving through visitors are taken on a five senses tour of the whiskey making process from smoking the barley through mashing and distilling and into the aging warehouses. At the end of the tour visitors can sample the scotch, purchase limited edition Ardbeg merch and enjoy drinks in the open air tasting garden.

The tour of tours
In the Tour of Tours exhibit for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame visitors are taken back stage at an arena show and move through a timeline of the greatest live music tours of the last 50+ years. Displays built into touring road cases highlight the evolution of touring concerts and their change in scale from just the bands in a van to multi-million dollar tours carried in dozens of semi trucks. An imitation loading bay features holographic model recreations of some noteworthy touring performances. The view into the arena shows a life size time-lapse recording of a concert from load-in to load-out. Throughout the exhibit are large scale scenic artifacts from some of the most iconic productions.

tech product launch
This design for a theoretical technology company product launch features a dynamic cascade of light box portals separating a series of LED video panels. The dynamic framing of this event stage envelops the audience and pulls their attention to the stage for the keynote presentations.

Felician sisters museum model
A series of models I was hired to build for Hilferty Design Studios. The museum is designed as a recreation of Asisi Italy where the Felician sisters started. You can see in some of the pictures the changes that happened to the model as we developed it. To me a physical model is a working drawing that is able to change and be restructured as the design evolves.
